2018年８月９日（木）14：00～　本学Ｒ２０３教室において、高橋一樹氏の講演「赤木氏の備中西遷にみる鎌倉幕府と東国御家人」が開催されました。講演は、信濃国の御家人であった赤木氏が備中国穴田郷に定着した理由を考察したものでした。

　従来、赤木氏は承久の乱における戦功により、恩賞として穴田郷を与えられ、いわゆる新補地頭としてこの地に定着したと考えられて来ました。しかし、赤木家文書には穴田郷を所領であるとするものは無く、むしろ別の理由で赤木氏が穴田郷と関係を持ったと考えられます。その理由として、赤木氏が北条氏の被官（家来）となった点が注目されます。北条氏が信濃国守護であり、六波羅探題でもあったこと、また13世紀前半に備中国の国務（国衙領支配）を掌握したことなどから、赤木氏が北条氏領である穴田郷の経営を任されたのではないか、という仮説が打ち出されました。赤木氏は、あくまで信濃国の御家人として、いくつかの所領の経営を請け負うような存在であったのではないかということです。

　講演終了後には「何でも聞いてみよう！」のコーナーが設けられ、鎌倉時代に関する多くの質問が寄せられました。

　質問に対しては、高橋氏から的確で分かりやすい回答を頂きました。一般の方の参加も多く、高橋氏の熱のこもった語り口もあり、非常に盛り上がった企画となりました。

 We have had a special lecture,"Kamakura Shogunate and Warriors in East of Japan ; the Image through the observation of Akagi clan moved from Shinano to Bichu province after Jokyu War, 1221” by TAKAHASHI Kazuki, a professor at faculty of Humanities of Musashi University.

 The lecture was to consider the reason why Akagi clan settled down in Anada-manor in Bichu-province, though they were the warriors fixed to live in Shinano-province.

 So far,the reason has been considered that Akagi clan was given Aanada-manor as the reward of Jokyu-war(1221) by Kamakura-Shogunate, and they were appointed new-Jitou, one kind of local officers in manors.

 However, the medieval documents of Aakagi never say that Akagi clan possesed Anada-manor, so we have to consider another reason.

 The hypothes shown by the lecturer is that Akagi clan was a subordinate of Hojo clan who was the top officer of Kamakura-Shogunate and Rokuhara-tandai(a branch office in Kyoto-city) and a Shugo(a state police) of Shinano-province. Also Hojo clan held the public lands in Bichu-province, so Akagi clan was appointed a surrogate-officer to manage the Anada-manor which was one of the public lands Hojo clan concerned with.

 Akagi clan never left from Shinano-province and concurrently managed some lands possesed by their master, Hojo clan.

 After the lecture, we had a time of "Question and Answer" when anyone could ask any question on Kamakura period.

 Fortunately we had many questions from audiences and the lecturer gave accurate answers in detail.
