We develop human resources who contribute to society through understanding "Kyoka-Shujitsu", the university's founding principle, and challenging themselves to tackle local issues with global viewpoints as "business professionals." Students will acquire not only specialized knowledge in business administration, but also excellent cultural knowledge and language skills, and information-gathering, analytical, action-taking, and decision-making abilities through interdisciplinary and on-site studies.
Students will acquire problem-finding-and-solving abilities in business management based on the deep knowledge and expertise in business administration that they develop through the systematic study of business administration related to corporate management.
Language studies including English and practical studies in business management develop students' ability to be utilized in business management and society with deep understanding of different cultures and people from a broad perspective and with respect for diversity.
Students will acquire the ability as "glocal" human resources who address local issues with global viewpoints and broadly play key roles in society by developing knowledge of the world economy and management and learning diversified issues and practices in the local community.
Students will acquire specialized knowledge in business administration, such as marketing and accounting, and also experience thorough English training, overseas studies, long-term internships, and Project Based Learning.
We develop "glocal" human resources who have extensive knowledge of global and local issues with our attentive teaching, for example, small-group seminars throughout 4 years.
The number of students per faculty member is 6.0 for each grade and 24.2 for all 4 grades. Diverse expertise is pursued over the 4 years from the first-year seminar to the graduation study, under friendly and attentive guidance for every single student (as of April, 2022).
In the second year, students participate in a 4-month overseas study or a long-term internship or Project Based Learning. The overseas study locations are 16 universities in 9 countries and regions, including top schools in Asia and prestigious schools in Europe and North America. Students genuinely study overseas business administration, rather than just studying language. Our internship partners are 56 companies and organizations in Okayama Prefecture. A long-term practical training for 15 weeks is designed to learn practical management and economy (as of April, 2022).
Students develop their genuine ability in English with the native speakers' lectures scheduled four times a week as the basis and also with the full academic support utilizing ICT. We provide students with opportunities to extend their relation to English through lectures by famous figures inside and outside of Japan and visiting lecturers from overseas.
