講師：谷口雄太氏（東京大学）　※著書『中世足利氏の血統と権威』、『＜武家の王＞足利氏』

演題：「足利将軍を語ろう！」

　谷口氏はまず、ご自身と岡山県地域との関わりをお話になった上で、大学での卒業論文のテーマ（足利一門の吉良氏）について触れ、それが当時の社会史ブームに影響を受けたものであったことを明かされました。その後、修士論文を作成する過程で、個別の地域史や武士団研究よりも、国家的な統合の面に興味が向いていき、それが最終的な博士論文のテーマ（足利氏の血統と権威）となったと説明されました。こうした変化は個人的なレベルにとどまらず、中世史研究全体の大きな潮流であったこと、現在もまたその動き（国家レベルの統合に注目する動き）が続いていると述べられました。

　講演後には、足利氏の血統にまつわる意識の形成、特に儀礼の積み重ねによる権威の創出などについて、活発な議論が交わされました。

　We, Institute of Study on Kibi region culture for Humanities, have held a special lecture "Let's talk on Ashikaga-clan Generals of Muromachi Shohgunate !" from 13:00 on 26th, June, 2021 by using Google's "meet" function.

 The lecturer is TANIGUCHI Yuhta (Tokyo university) who has recently published "The Lineage and Authority of Ashikaga-clan in Medieval Japan" and "Ashikaga-clan, the Lineage of Warriors' King in Medieval Japan".

 At first, the lecturer talked on the relationship between Okayama region and himself and on the subject of his graduation thesis (on KIRA-clan, one of ASHIKAGA families in Medieval Japan). The selection of that subject was infected by the trend of Social History from 1980s’, however, when the lecturer would write his Master's thesis, his attention was directed to the integration of society and people at national level, rather than individual regions or warrior groups, and that became the core theme of his Doctoral thesis (the Lineage and Authority of Ashikaga-clan in Medieval Japan). This change and moving was in the Mega Trends of the Study on Medieval Japan (from Social History to National History), which are still ongoing.

 After the lecture, the audience asked some questions, like as the formation of awareness of ASIKAGA clan’s bloodlines and its authority created through a series of rituals. We sincerely appreciate to the lecturer for that we were able to have an active discussion.
