2019年10月５日（土）午後２時より、Ｓ101教室にて吉備地方文化研究所の特別企画「修験道を語ろう！」として、近藤祐介氏（鶴見大学）による講演「中世顕密寺院における修験道」が開催されました。

　中世における顕密仏教は、慧・教（学問）に偏重することから始まり、やがて「我執」「破戒」という状態を生み出していったこと、その中で定（修行）を重視して「戒・定・慧」のバランスを取り戻すために「修験道」が構築されていくことなどが指摘されました。

　講演終了後には「何でも聞いてみよう！」のコーナーが設けられ、多数の質問への応答がなされました。質疑は１時間にも及ぶもので、参加者の皆様の熱心さが伝わりました。

　こうした時間を与えて頂いた近藤氏には、深く感謝いたします。

We held the special lecture by Mr.KONDOH Yuhsuke (Tsurumi University),"The Shugendoh in Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhists' temples of Medieval Japan", at S-101 room on 5th, October, 2019.

The lecturer explained that exoteric and esoteric Buddhism of medieval Japan started to grow from giving too much importance to "Study", and it led to make the tendency of "Egocentricity" and "Violation of Commandments".

The Shugendoh, a special sect of the exoteric and esoteric Buddhism, rose up in later Kamakura period so as to overcome such tendency and it emphasized "Obeying of Commandments" and "Hard trainings in forests and mountains".

As the result, the Buddhism recovered the balance of Buddhists' three virtues, "Obeying of Commandments", "Hard trainings" and "Study".

After the lecture we had the time of "Questions and Answers" and for about one hour many participants eagerly asked various questions for the lecturer.
